Are Other Real Estate Markets Improving?

We’ve been talking about challenging inventory and the lack of available homes in Costa Mesa for a few months now.

 

How are the other California sales markets doing, besides the one here in Costa Mesa real estate? Here’s a quick infographic that shows building starts in other communities. This infographic judges housing starts/building permits, which is a good housing barometer because builders have to have confidence that what they will build will be sold a year or two later when the project is ready for occupancy.

 

Locally, new homes are being built in Laguna Altura, Irvine’s Woodbury, and Portola Springs. They all have waiting lists, so confidence has certainly returned to our local builder market.
