Golf Course Homes Costa Mesa
There are not many homes that have golf course frontage on golf courses in Costa Mesa. In fact, out of more than 3500 homes in the Mesa Verde area, there are only 108 homes that do in fact sit on this prestigious, private country club.
It is definitely rare; the only other areas of Costa Mesa real estate that have homes on golf course frontage is on Tanager Drive, which have homes on the 9th fairway of the Costa Mesa Country Club (Public), and the Masters Circle which have homes on the private Santa Ana Country Club.
Mesa Verde Country Club‘s course has the most. Here is a breakdown of homes by street:
Bali Circle- 3 homes, wooded view of the 15th fairway. Custom built homes on this street.
Bahama Place – 4 homes, unique view of the 11th green, a large lake that separates the 11th and the 12th, and the par three 12th hole. All the homes on this street were custom built.
Cape Verde Place – 4 homes face the course, and most of them are very unique with mid-century modern design.
Capri Lane – 24 homes, By far the “crown jewel” of the Mesa Verde area. One side borders the 17th fairway and green, and the opposite side borders the 15th fairway, green, and 16th par three. All the homes on this street were custom built.
Country Club Drive – 16 homes which border the 15th hole and the 16th par three hole. Unique blend of custom homes and mid-century modern design.
Gisler Road – 2 homes face the course, including one of the only LEED certified platinum designed energy efficient homes in California.
Jamaica Road – 8 homes which border the 14th, 15th, 12th, 13th, and the 11th. The end of the road has a 180 degree panoramic view of all of these holes.
Java Road – 17 homes which mostly border the 17th hole. The end of the road has vistas over the 17th, 18th, and much of the middle ground of the Mesa Verde Country Club. The end of the road is elevated and has a fantastic vista over much of the course, and has glorious sunsets from this area.
Kauai Road – 9 homes face the course. Most have a view from an elevated hill over the driving range, hole one, the club itself, and an expansive practice area. It was one of only 2 streets that had tract homes built on the course.
Kornat Drive – 17 homes have golf course frontage. Most of the view is upon the 1st fairway and the practice range. Kornat is the other street that has tract homes, although many of them have been rebuilt into custom homes. Kornat is unique in that it has a large buffer of space and golfers are not too close to the homes, and the view is large and expansive, feeling almost like a private park.
Panay Circle – Has 4 homes with golf course frontage near the par three 12th hole and the large lake that separates the tee from the green.
Santa Ana CC – 26 Homes, and they only border the course on The Masters Circle.
Costa Mesa CC – 16 homes, all are on Tanager Drive, and they all border the 9th fairway of the Los Lagos course.
Home are hard to find – many of the homes that sell will be done without a sign ever going in the ground.
